Hand Ligament Fixation with All-Suture Anchors
The OctoPi™ System is an innovative, hand-specific fixation system designed to give surgeons the ability to customize repair constructs intraoperatively. Built around a family of all-suture anchors in three sizes (1.4, 1.7 and 2.4) the system delivers unicortical fixation utilizing very small drill holes minimizing bone removal, making it well-suited to the small bones of the hand and wrist.
The OctoPi™ System by Field Orthopaedics supports multiple procedures including Scapholunate repairs, UCL Thumb repair and finger ligament repairs. Three complementary implants - the OctoBridge™, OctoExtend™ and OctoAnchor™ - can be used alone or linked together to build the construct each case demands.

OCTOBridge™ features
An innovative double-anchor design on a T-handle that links across bones or augments ligaments in a single deployment.
- Available in 1.4, 1.7 and 2.4.
- The 1.7 OctoBridge is designed specifically for scapholunate repair, helping to reduce the SL interval.
OCTOExtend™ features
A companion anchor preloaded with 2-0 suture used to shuttle additional sutures through an anchor.
- Available in 1.7 and 2.4.
- Can be used stand-alone or to link other anchors to increase repair strength.
OCTOAnchor™ features
The core all-suture anchor of the system, double-loaded with high-strength suture.
- Available in 1.4, 1.7 and 2.4.
- Short drill lengths: 12 mm for 1.4 and 1.7; 17 mm for 2.4.

Technical Guide Points
Drill or K-wire must be drilled a minimum distance into bone before anchor deployment.
Align the anchor with the trajectory of the pilot hole prior to insertion.
Use gentle mallet taps - avoid excessive impaction.
Bury the laser line on the anchor inserter below the bone cortex.
Remove the blue clips and unwrap the sutures before withdrawing the inserter.
Pull all suture limbs to fully set the anchor.
